Hi all,
ReplyDeleteRecently, I have visited this temple. It is one of the beautiful temples of Tamil Nadu. Those who want to feel some tranquility and do meditation in serenity, can visit the temple. It is less crowded and away from busy cities.
What to do to make your experience rich and remember able in this temple?
Here are the following things you must do to make your pilgrimage happy.
This is my experience and this is the I way felt after reaching the temple. I wish no one should undergo this nuisance anymore. So a word of caution.
This is temple is not well maintained.
This temple has not much water facility and public convenience facility.
The archagar in the temple is very very very very money minded.
Do not go by car.
If you get down by the car, the price would be high to pay.
Though you give much thatchani, he won't be satisfied.
This is my story, after reading this, you can come to your own conclusion.
I happened to do a parigaram in bakthajaneswarer temple. So I found out the phone number and address of the temple, and called the archagar, His name is siva gurukal. His son is very greedy. His wife too. When I called and told them, " I am from bangalore and I need to do an abishegam for siva there, They said alright, when are you coming, you need to pay rs. 1000 towards abishegam. Yes I said.
I visited the temple by krtc bus. As soon as I reached, the gurukal's wife reached me in person and asked me whether I came by car? then she asked me to give the 1000 rs. to her husband's hands and not in her father in law's.
after some time, her husband came, he asked me am I from Bangalore? i answered yes. where my husband works? is he from IT? Then he asked me to give the 1000 rs. to him. I gave. then his father came. He is not so money minded like his son.
I paid him rs. 100 for ticket, but nothing received as receipt. then he told " you need to do archanai to all god and goddess here. so, i agreed. each time my family happened to give so much dhankshanai. we are broken. then he asked to buy oil, i said, i do not have money. he said if you wish you can take my cycle and reach the city end to get money from atm. He told me do give another dhakshanai to his father one more time and also to watch man and watch woman there. I do not have any money. he said keep your bags here. till your husband gets money stay here, let him go to the atm and get the money first. I felt, they are making too much, I just prayed to god and gave no heed to him any more.
for the beggars my husband gave one re. each. they blessed us and came out of the temple.
the gurukals nuisance irritated me, but husband calmed me. As i was talking with him, the flower vendor told me, THIS HAPPENS TO EVERYONE. HE CHEATS ALL AND GRABS MONEY FROM EVERYONE. he make them go penniless.
If you have come by car, the fate would have been worser. they get money by asking several times. from gurukal to watch man and woman to be given here.
Government gives them salary, yet this particular guy behaves in this shameful manner.
I can understand, he may be poor so look for more money. But he should not stoop to the level of a cheater.
So beware and keep your money purse tight.
Thank you,
Sudha
Hi
ReplyDelete@ Ms Sudha
I can understand your plight. This should not have happened.
However I wish to make one thing clear is , as far as my understanding their salary would not be more than 2000 rs.
Unlike the temples in the cities the footfall is very low and their earnings are very low.
By saying this I am not justifying his greediness.
I also visited the temple this so awesome-tic one. This village also looks too good
ReplyDeleteand the area youngsters too good(helping). yeah u r RIGHT the gurugal soo worsted oneeeeeee...... please don't give money too gurukal.. Else he's ask give money plssss u say give a bill for that..... Else i will complaint to the government.............
